In 1900s Paris, a young writer's life is forever changed when he falls for Satine, the star performer and courtesan of the infamous Moulin Rouge nightclub. A whirlwind romance blossoms between them, amidst the club's decadent glamour and the looming threat of death from Satine's terminal illness. Will their love prevail, or will they succumb to the destructive forces that surround them?
