Mystic River

"Mystic River" is a 2003 American neo-noir mystery crime drama film directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Sean Penn, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon, and Laurence Fishburne. The film tells the story of three men from a working class neighborhood in Boston, Irish-American neighborhood friends Jimmy Markum, Sean Devine, and Dave Boyle, who were childhood friends but were shattered when one of them, Dave, suffered a family tragedy involving child abuse and rape.
