Jenny Slate stars as Donna Stern, a comedian struggling with depression and heartbreak after her boyfriend leaves her for a friend. After a drunken one-night stand with Jake Lacy's character Max, Donna discovers she's pregnant and decides to have an abortion, navigating the process while trying to reconnect with Max.
