Princess Mononoke

In Muromachi-era Japan, a young Emishi prince named Ashitaka is cursed by a demonized boar god after killing it to protect his village, leading him on a perilous journey west in search of a cure for his afflicted arm. Along the way, he becomes embroiled in a conflict between the forest of the gods and a nearby town led by Lady Eboshi, and befriends San, a human girl raised by wolves who fights to protect the forest. As Ashitaka navigates this treacherous landscape, he must find a way to bring balance to the conflict between humans and nature, in a tale that blends fantastical elements with its depiction of medieval Japanese history.
