Dead & Buried

In a hazy Maine coastal town, Sheriff Dan Gillis (James Farentino) investigates a series of violent murders, only to discover that the corpses are coming back to life and living normally as locals. With the help of mortician William G. Dobbs (Jack Albertson) and his wife Janet, who is revealed to be a reanimated corpse, Gillis must unravel the mystery behind the murders and the sinister force controlling the reanimated dead.
