Bats

In the 1999 horror film "Bats", Lou Diamond Phillips stars as Sheriff Emmett Kimsey, a local lawman teaming up with zoologist Dr. Sheila Casper (Dina Meyer) to stop a swarm of genetically mutated bats that terrorize a small Texas town. The bats, created by Dr. Alexander McCabe (Bob Gunton), were designed to be intelligent and omnivorous, but end up becoming the ultimate predator, killing humans. With the help of the National Guard and a team of scientists, Sheila and Sheriff Kimsey must find a way to exterminate the bats before they spread to other parts of the country.
