Radium Girls

Bessie Cavallo (Joey King) and her sister Josephine (Abby Quinn) work at American Radium, painting watch dials that expose them to hazardous radium. When their sister Mary dies under suspicious circumstances, the girls seek help from Katherine Wiley, who leads the Consumer's League of New Jersey, and eventually, a federal judge is appointed to negotiate a settlement with the factory. The film is based on the true story of the "Radium Girls," a group of women who fought for justice and compensation after being exposed to toxic radium in the 1920s.
