Dracula, Prince of Darkness

"Dracula: Prince of Darkness" (1966) focuses on two English couples, the Kents, who travel to Eastern Europe and spend the night in the ominous castle of Count Dracula, resurrected by the ritual of the Count's ashes. Father Sandor prevents the local authorities from disposing of a woman's corpse as if it were a vampire, and he warns the Kents not to visit Karlsbad, but they ignore his advice, leading to a series of terrifying events. The film follows Charles and Diana Kent as they try to survive the Count's attentions, using a crucifix as a weapon against the undead. With Christopher Lee as Count Dracula, the film is a classic example of Hammer's gothic supernatural horror.
