In the late 1970s, Sivasaami (Dhanush) and his young son, Chidambaram, are forced to flee their village after Chidambaram kills a wealthy upper-caste landlord, Narasimhan. The father-son duo embark on a perilous journey, navigating their complicated past and the treacherous world of caste politics. Along the way, Sivasaami shares his violent, hidden past with Chidambaram to explain his restraint, revealing a history marked by tragedy, loss, and a deep-seated desire for justice. Ultimately, Sivasaami stands before the court, prepared to take full legal responsibility for the killings to shield Chidambaram, and implores his son to pursue education and secure a better future.
