Couple in a Hole

The film "Couple in a Hole" (2015) follows a middle-aged couple, John (Paul Higgins) and Karen (Kate Dickie), who live together in the Pyrenees in a shallow hole in the ground, living off the land and struggling to cope with grief over the death of a child. Their lives are disrupted when Karen is bitten by a spider and John seeks help from a local farmer, Andre (Jérôme Kircher), whose motives may be mysterious. As tensions rise, the couple's relationship is put to the test. Kate Dickie won best actress in a film at the 2016 British Academy Scotland Awards for her performance.
