Two Smart People

Two Smart People is a 1946 American film noir crime drama film starring Lucille Ball as con artist Ricki Woodner, who joins forces with a prison-bound swindler Ace Connors (John Hodiak). As they embark on a cross-country trip, Ricki's intentions are unclear, and Ace's former partner Fly Feletti (Elisha Cook, Jr.) tries to stop him from testifying. Along the way, Ricki and Ace develop feelings for each other, but their relationship is complicated by Ace's growing trust in her.
