Elephant Boy

Toomai, a young boy growing up in India, longs to become a hunter, but helps his mahout father with Kala Nag, a large elephant that has been in their family for four generations. Petersen, a hunter, hires the father and Kala Nag for a large annual government roundup of wild elephants to be tamed and put to work. Toomai joins the expedition and, with Kala Nag, leads Petersen to the missing wild elephants, which Toomai sees dancing. The other natives hail him as "Toomai of the Elephants."
