Man About Town

In this charming romantic comedy, René Clair brings us back to the early days of French cinema, set against the vibrant backdrop of silent film-making in Paris, circa 1906. When Émile, a director and ladies' man, advises his young friend Jacques to adopt a carefree attitude towards women, he unwittingly sets off a chain of events that will change the lives of those around him, particularly Madeleine, the shy daughter of an old friend, who becomes entangled in a complicated love triangle.
