Royal Wedding

Fred Astaire and Jane Powell star as a brother-sister song-and-dance duo who take their hit Broadway show "Every Night at Seven" to London for the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten. In the process, Tom falls in love with dancer Anne Ashmond, while his sister Ellen falls for impoverished but well-connected lord John Brindale. The film's music, including songs by Burton Lane and Alan Jay Lerner, brings the emotional event to life through a series of memorable performances, from Astaire and Powell's energetic opening number to Powell's poignant ballad "The Happiest Days of My Life."
