No Such Thing

Beatrice (Sarah Polley), a young journalist, journeys to Iceland in search of her missing fiancé, only to encounter a mythical creature who longs to die, played by Robert John Burke as The Monster. The Monster has been alive for millennia and is virtually indestructible, dwelling on an island off the coast of Iceland where he occasionally terrorizes villagers. Beatrice befriends Dr. Anna (Julie Christie) and eventually teams up with a mad scientist, Dr. Artaud (Baltasar Kormákur), to help the Monster find a way to die.
