Swept Away

A wealthy woman, Raffaella Pavone Lanzetti (Mariangela Melato), and Gennarino Carunchio (Giancarlo Giannini), a communist deckhand, are stranded on a desert island after their yacht is damaged in a storm. On the island, they begin to reverse their social roles, with Raffaella becoming submissive to Gennarino's demands and him seeking to assert his masculinity over her. Their relationship becomes increasingly complex as they struggle to survive on the island, leading to a passionate and intimate connection that ultimately changes their lives forever after their rescue.
