Sleeping Beauty

In 14th-century Europe, a newborn princess is betrothed to a prince in a union meant to unite their kingdoms. However, an evil fairy named Maleficent places a curse on the princess, predicting that before her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. To soften the curse, three good fairies move the princess into hiding, where she grows up unaware of her royal heritage. When Aurora pricks her finger on a spindle as a teenager, the curse is fulfilled, but instead of dying, she falls into a deep sleep that can only be broken by true love's kiss.
