Sleepy Hollow

In 1799 New York, pragmatic detective Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is sent to the upstate Dutch village of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of brutal decapitations. Skeptical of the paranormal explanation, Ichabod begins his investigation and settles in the house of Baltus Van Tassel's family, becoming romantically attached to Baltus' spiritual daughter Katrina (Christina Ricci). As the body count rises, Ichabod hypothesizes that a conspiracy is behind the murders. With the help of Katrina and her brother Brom, Ichabod uncovers a web of deceit and manipulation that leads him to the shocking truth about Mary Van Tassel's true identity and motivations.
