Pump Up the Volume

High school student Mark Hunter uses his shortwave radio to moonlight as the popular pirate DJ "Hard Harry," broadcasting outsider views and teen angst that quickly gains a loyal following among his peers. When his show is blamed for a teen's suicide, the students clash with faculty and authorities, fueling a chaotic rebellion against the rigid social hierarchy of their suburban high school in Phoenix, Arizona.
