Ex-Lady

In "Ex-Lady", Bette Davis plays Helen Bauer, a glamorous and liberated New York graphic artist who agrees to marry Don Peterson (Gene Raymond) to please her conventional immigrant father. As they form a business partnership and navigate the stresses of married life, Helen's independence is tested by Don's infidelities and her own desires. Along the way, she finds herself drawn to Nick Malvyn, Don's business rival and playboy, leading to a complicated web of relationships that ultimately brings the couple back together.
