Francis Curray "Frank" McHugh was a prolific American actor who began his career on stage, performing with his family's stock theatre company and eventually debuting on Broadway in 1925. He went on to become a contract player at Warner Bros., appearing in over 150 films and working closely with stars including James Cagney. His film career spanned several decades, peaking in the 1940s before gradually declining.
