Here Comes the Navy

Here Comes the Navy is a 1934 American romantic comedy film starring James Cagney as Chesty O'Connor, a cocky guy who joins the Navy for the wrong reason and finds romance with Dorothy Martin, played by Gloria Stuart, the younger sister of his nemesis, Chief Petty Officer Biff Martin, played by Pat O'Brien. After getting court-martialed and finding himself ostracized by his fellow sailors, O'Connor saves Martin's life during a dramatic rescue, leading to his promotion and a happier ending.
