State Fair

The Frake family prepares for the Iowa State Fair, where proud patriarch Abel bets his neighbor that his boar Blue Boy will win first prize, and his wife Melissa competes in the mincemeat and pickles contest. Meanwhile, teenage children Wayne and Margy enjoy the fair's festivities, with Wayne winning a ring toss game and Margy meeting Pat Gilbert, a reporter covering the fair. As the family spends time together, Wayne falls for big band starlet Emily Edwards, while Margy develops feelings for Pat. In the end, Abel's boar Blue Boy wins first prize, and Margy finds love with Pat.
