In this 1942 comedy film, Manhattanite Connie Fuller secretly purchases a dilapidated old farmhouse in Pennsylvania, claiming it was where George Washington slept during the American Revolution. The couple's dog damages their apartment carpets, forcing them to move into the new home without Bill's knowledge or enthusiasm. However, their rustic lifestyle is put to the test when they discover the property may not be connected to George Washington at all, and must navigate a series of misadventures to uncover the truth about their new home.
