Liberty Heights

In the fall of 1954, the Kurtzman family, a Jewish family living in suburban Baltimore, navigate love, prejudice, and family dynamics. Ben (Ben Foster), a high school senior, falls for Sylvia (no actress mentioned), an African-American girl who becomes his classmate after integration. Meanwhile, Van (Adrien Brody) attends college and becomes smitten with Dubbie, a mysterious blonde woman, while their father Nate (Joe Mantegna) tries to maintain his burlesque business amidst financial troubles and a numbers racket.
