Holy Motors

Holy Motors follows 24 hours in the life of Denis Lavant's character Mr. Oscar, a being who appears to have multiple lives, each with distinct identities. Over the course of the day, he plays various roles, including an old woman beggar on the Pont Alexandre III, Monsieur Merde, a violent red-haired man who kidnaps a model from a photo shoot in a cemetery, and a father who picks up his daughter from a party, among others. Throughout the film, Lavant's character moves between these roles, while his driver Céline (Édith Scob) navigates the city in an enormous white limousine that becomes a symbol of the disconnection between people and technology.
