Édith Scob was a French film and theatre actress, best known for her role as the daughter with a disfigured face in Eyes Without a Face (1960). Born to a Russian Army general and White Russian émigré family, she studied French at the Sorbonne and began her career on stage. Her interest in theatre was sparked by her love of literature, which led her to become a sought-after actress in France.
