In the fantasy comedy film "Shorts", 11-year-old Toby Thompson discovers a colorful, wish-granting rock that causes chaos in the suburban town of Black Falls when jealous kids and scheming adults alike set out to get their hands on it. After using the rock to grant wishes for friends, a UFO, and even his sister's ex-boyfriend, Toby befriends Loogie Short, who helps him deal with various obstacles. The film follows "episodes" as people's wishes are granted in unexpected ways, leading to a series of humorous and action-packed events.
