In modern-day Manhattan, Neil Patrick Harris stars as Robert, a charming and perpetual bachelor navigating love and commitment through the eyes of his friends. As he turns 35, Robert's single state is put to the test by his married friends, who promise him that his birthday wish will still come true. The film takes viewers on a series of disconnected vignettes, each featuring Robert with different couples or alone with girlfriends, as he grapples with the idea of settling down and finding true love.
