The Beautician and the Beast

A New York City beautician is mistakenly hired as a school teacher for the children of Boris Pochenko, the president of a small Eastern European country. Fran Drescher plays Joy Miller, a beauty school teacher who finds herself in a culture clash with Ira Grushinsky (Ian McNeice), a diplomat from Slovetzia, after he mistakes her for a science teacher due to a newspaper photo. The film follows their interactions as Joy teaches the Pochenko children and helps them navigate their relationships with Alek, the leader of the youth rebellion, played by Lisa Jakub's character Katrina.
