Lisa Jakub is a Canadian writer and yoga teacher born on December 27, 1978, in Toronto, Ontario. She rose to fame as a child actress, starring in comedy-drama films like Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Independence Day (1996). After retiring from acting at age 22, Jakub pursued writing and yoga, publishing two non-fiction books and becoming a Kripalu yoga teacher, all while opening up about her struggles with anxiety and depression on her website BlueMala.
