The Bells of the Old Town is a 1946 Swedish drama film that tells the story of Carl Magnus Berg, a kind-hearted bailiff who takes pity on a struggling jazz musician and his girlfriend Karin. Played by Edvard Persson as Karl-Magnus Berg, he helps those in need with money from his own pocket, showing his compassionate side to the community. The film's colorful sets were designed by Max Linder, marking it as Sweden's first feature film shot in color using the Cinecolor process.
