Stay Hungry

A young scion from Birmingham, Alabama, played by Jeff Bridges, gets involved in a shady real-estate deal that requires him to buy a gym building. He becomes romantically interested in the gym's receptionist (Sally Field) and drawn to the carefree lifestyle of the Austrian bodybuilder Joe Santo (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is training there for the Mr. Universe competition, but ultimately learns it's not easy to turn his back on fair-weather friends as trouble erupts over a stolen prize money stash at the gym's big bodybuilding meet, drawing in an amazed crowd of onlookers and culminating in a chaotic pose-down with bodybuilders pouring out into the streets of Birmingham.
