Harry Mitchell (Roy Scheider), a successful Los Angeles manufacturer, is confronted by three blackmailers who demand $100,000 after exposing his infidelity on a videotape featuring him and his young mistress, Cini. Harry pretends to pay the men but does not follow through. With the help of Doreen, a stripper who was friends with Cini, Harry tracks down the blackmailers and ultimately meets a violent end at their hands.
