Kung Fury

Kung Fury is a martial arts comedy featurette that pays homage to 1980s films, following the story of Kung Fury, a Miami detective who gains extraordinary kung fu powers after being struck by lightning and bitten by a cobra. After avenging his partner's death at the hands of Adolf Hitler, aka "Kung Führer," Kung Fury is sent back in time to Nazi Germany with the help of computer whiz Hackerman. With the help of Norse gods and a T-Rex, Kung Fury battles his way through Nazi soldiers, robots, and even dinosaurs to take down the infamous villain. This short film was crowdfunded on Kickstarter and screened at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, earning it a loyal following despite its campy humor and outrageous premise.
