Wild Oats

Shirley MacLaine stars as Eva Miller, a retired high school teacher who mistakenly receives a $5 million insurance check and embarks on a wild adventure to Gran Canaria with her best friend Maddie (Jessica Lange), where they win big at the local casino and encounter various characters, including a scam artist named Don Carlos played by Billy Connolly. Along the way, Eva reunites with an old flame who teaches her about card games, while Maddie finds love with a young man who revives her passion for life. The film ends on a happy note as Eva returns home with a newfound sense of freedom and a fresh perspective.
