Billy Connolly
Biography
Sir William Connolly, known to his fans as The Big Yin, is a Scottish comedian, musician, and actor born on November 24, 1942. He began his career as a welder in the Glasgow shipyards before transitioning into folk music with the Humblebums, and later became a renowned stand-up comedian, knighted in 2017 for services to entertainment and charity. He has appeared in numerous films, earning a BAFTA Fellowship for lifetime achievement in 2022.
