Ivory Hunter

The film "Ivory Hunter" (1951) is based on the true story of Mervyn Cowie's struggle to form the National Parks of Kenya and follows the early days of game warden Bob Payton (Anthony Steel), who establishes a 1000 square mile wildlife reserve in East Africa. Horrified by the destruction of wild animals by ivory hunters, Payton creates a sanctuary but is later attacked by wild animals and must contend with a villainous poacher.
