Around the Block

Around the Block is a 2013 Australian drama film directed and written by Sarah Spillane. The film stars Christina Ricci as Dino Chalmers, an American drama teacher who develops a friendship with 16-year-old Aboriginal student Liam Wood (Hunter Page-Lochard) during the 2004 Redfern riots. As they work together on a production of Hamlet, Dino and Liam must navigate their own personal struggles, including family turmoil and the consequences of violence in their community.
