The Cure

"The Cure" is a 1995 American drama film about an unlikely friendship between two boys, one of whom is suffering from AIDS. Characterized by Brad Renfro and Joseph Mazzello as Erik and Dexter respectively, the story follows their quest to find a natural cure for Dexter's disease after they hear about a possible treatment in New Orleans. They embark on a perilous journey down the Mississippi River with the hope of finding a way to save Dexter's life.
