The Boxtrolls

In 1897, in the hilltop city of Cheesebridge in the European country of Norvenia, rumors spread that Boxtrolls, subterranean trolls who wear cardboard boxes, have kidnapped and killed a baby. An orphaned boy named Eggs is raised by these creatures, but their peaceful nature is threatened when the city's pest exterminator, Archibald Snatcher, tells the city's mayor to allow him membership in the city's cheese-loving council if he can exterminate every Boxtroll. Eggs discovers the truth about his father's past and the true intentions of Snatcher, leading him to try and save his family and friends from being exterminated. Along the way, Eggs forms an unlikely friendship with a young girl named Winnie Portley-Rind.
