Magdalena, played by Mercedes Hernández, embarks on a perilous journey to find her son who vanished while attempting to cross the Mexican border into the United States. Along the way, she meets Miguel, a teenage boy recently deported from the US who is searching for his mother, and together they face the harsh realities of a lawless society fueled by cartels and American weapons.
