In a quaint English village, every 25 years an angel visits the candlemaker and bestows a miracle upon whoever lights the Christmas Candle. In 1890, as the dawn of the electric age approaches, this centuries-old legend may come to an end. A young pastor tries to convince the town folk to believe in God rather than candle miracles, but a miracle is still in store for those who need it most.
