The Black Room

In 16th-century Europe, a prophecy foretells that if twin boys are born, the younger will murder the older; thus, the arrival of twins to the popular baron is met with dismay. The older brother's descent into selfishness and hedonism leads him to kill his younger sibling, hide his body in the "black room" - an old torture chamber sealed away behind the fireplace - and impersonate him, right down to his withered arm, in a desperate bid to avoid fate and obtain marriage to a local girl of nobility.
