16-year-old Jeanne Seraphin (Ali Skovbye) awakens in a pool of her own blood, marked with stigmata on her hands and feet, and bleeding from a thorny crown on her forehead. This mysterious event sets off a chain reaction of conflict, greed, and faith within the tight-knit Métis community in Manitoba where she lives, as spiritual forces clash in a battle between good and evil. The family's Christian faith is put to the test when Jeanne becomes possessed, drawing the attention of Corey Sevier's character, a Christian televangelist who seeks to help her.
