A Private Function

In post-war Britain, a small Yorkshire town prepares to celebrate the royal wedding of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip, but rationing still limits the rasher of bacon each person can enjoy. In response, local businessmen secretly raise an unregistered pig in the woods, with chiropodist Gilbert Chilvers at the helm, encouraged by his domineering wife Joyce. As the pig grows, so does the humor and absurdity, all while evading the watchful eye of food inspector Morris Wormold.
