Two-Minute Warning

A psychotic sniper plans a massive killing spree in a Los Angeles football stadium during a major championship game. The police, led by Captain Peter Holly (Charlton Heston), and the SWAT commander, learn of the plot and rush to the scene. Many fans attending the game are introduced, including an argumentative middle-aged couple, a gambling addict, and a young married couple, before the sniper strikes, causing panic in which many security men, Coliseum personnel, and spectators are killed or wounded. The SWAT team eventually captures the sniper, but not before he is shot by Captain Holly, leading to a somber conclusion as the officers learn of the sniper's life and the true cost of their actions.
