Trog

A 1970 British science fiction horror film that mingles elements of "Planet of the Apes," "Frankenstein" and various Sasquatch tales, where anthropologist Dr. Brockton studies a primitive troglodyte she discovers in a local cave, domesticating it before releasing it, which goes on a rampage terrorizing the local citizenry. The film features a sympathetic portrayal of the half-man/half-ape and its gentle treatment of a little girl. With Joan Crawford's last film appearance before her death in 1977, Trog marks a decidedly Hammer-esque low-budget English film with a troubled production history.
