Ambush Bay

A hand-picked team of U.S. Marine Corps amphibious reconnaissance scouts is landed by a PBY Catalina with the mission of contacting an intelligence agent who has crucial information. Each Marine is not only experienced but has a special skill, except for the radio operator, PFC Grenier (James Mitchum), who takes on the role after being given the sick Marine's radio and camouflage jacket to carry on his first ground combat mission. As they attempt to recover important information from a contact in a tea house, the Marines face numerous challenges, including treacherous terrain, hostile Japanese soldiers, and internal conflicts among their own ranks. Ultimately, PFC Grenier emerges as a seasoned Marine who successfully completes the mission at great personal cost, earning him a newfound sense of purpose and camaraderie with his comrades.
