Harry Lauter
Biography
Harry Lauter was an American character actor specializing in villainous roles. Born on June 19, 1914, in White Plains, New York, he began his career with a role in The Magnificent Rogue (1946) and went on to appear in numerous low-budget films, serials, and television programs in the 1950s. He once came close to stardom as Clay Morgan in the CBS series "Tales of the Texas Rangers" (1955-1958). Lauter died in 1990, pursuing his passion for painting and running an art gallery in his later years.
